What is “Meet the Funder”?

Meet the Funder offers nonprofit leaders a rare chance to engage directly with major funders, learn about their giving priorities, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

We’re honored to feature First Citizens Bank in this session, where they will share their philanthropic focus, community impact goals, and insights on how organizations can align with their vision.

First Citizens Bank partners with a wide range local nonprofit organizations that align with their strategic community development priorities:

  • Workforce Development, Financial and Homeowner/Homebuyer Education: Employment and financial expertise are keys to economic resiliency. We’re passionate about enhancing financial educational opportunities, encouraging financial counseling for homebuyers/homeowners and establishing a route to employment through workforce development.

  • Affordable Housing: Safe and stable housing is essential for an individual’s overall well-being, including physical and mental health and economic well-being. We support the work of nonprofit organizations working to increase and preserve access to affordable housing options.

  • Small Business: Small businesses are a vital lifeline for communities to thrive and support the overall health of our national economy. We support the work of nonprofits that help small businesses with technical assistance, operational capacity and economic development.

  • Neighborhood Revitalization: For communities to flourish, individuals and families must have access to safe and suitable housing, public transportation and the social well-being, economic services and activities that are fundamental for community infrastructure.

Why Attend?

  • Insights: Gain insider knowledge about funding priorities and the application process.

  • Engagement: Ask questions and connect directly with decision-makers.

  • Opportunities: Discover how your nonprofit can align with their mission for a greater chance of funding success.
