In nonprofits, programs are the heartbeat of the mission—translating vision into tangible outcomes. But strong programs don’t just happen; they require thoughtful planning, adaptive leadership, and ongoing evaluation. This course is designed for nonprofit professionals who are new to program leadership or seeking to refresh their approach. Participants will explore the full program cycle—from needs assessment and design to implementation and evaluation—while learning how to align programming with organizational strategy and community needs. Whether launching a new initiative or refining an existing one, this training offers tools and insights to strengthen program purpose and performance.

Meet Your Trainer: Dr. Tiffany Mitchell is an accomplished nonprofit executive with over 15 years of experience leading innovative, community-based programs that support youth and families. She currently serves as Chief Program Officer at Orangewood Foundation, where she oversees programs that empower young people to achieve self-sufficiency and lead positive change in their communities.

Prior to joining Orangewood, Dr. Mitchell served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Lutheran Social Services of Southern California. She holds a Doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, and brings a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, equity-driven leadership, and program innovation.

Dr. Mitchell is passionate about health, wellness, and creating systems that elevate youth voice and leadership. She brings both clinical expertise and operational insight to her work, helping organizations translate vision into meaningful impact.
