Organizational Assessment

Board Retreats
Board Retreat - 1/2 Day
  • 1 hour consultation call with OneOC Expert to gather information surrounding purpose, goals and objectives, and current agency culture and staff dynamics to appropriately deliver training topic.  
  • 30-min follow-up session to ensure agenda and training request is meeting organization’s expectations.
  • 3-4 hour training event, offsite.
  • Summary report of day's session.
  • 30 min follow-up call, after team building event/retreat, to provide feedback.

 

Board Retreat - Full Day
  • 1 hour consultation call with OneOC Expert to gather information surrounding purpose, goals and objectives, and current agency culture and staff dynamics to appropriately deliver training topic.  
  • 1-hour follow-up session to ensure agenda and training request is meeting organization’s expectations.
  • 6-8 hour training event (2-day sessions also available), offsite.

Board Development
Board Visioning
  • Board visioning session - who are we? what should our board look like in the future? 
  • Create board matrix of current board and where the board would like to be.
Board Recruitment
  • Define gaps and determine criteria for future board member recruitment.
  • Define the recruitment process to attract new board members that met the criteria.
Board Engagement
  • Enlist all current board members in the process via training, team-building session, or mini board retreat.
  • Create checklist for follow up and accountability.
Board Committees and Task Forces
  • Identify, define and set-up committee structures to pipeline to the board and as a way to achieve some of board's goals around objectives identified in board visioning/strategic planning session, i.e. Fundraising.
  • Attend monthly board and task force meetings deemed appropriate to ensure purpose and goals are being met.

Roles and Responsibilities

Package includes:

  • 1 hour consultation call with OneOC Expert to gather information surrounding purpose, goals and objectives.
  • Identify current structure and create board matrix of current board.
  • 2 hour Training Session - Role of the Board. Customized based on goals and objectives.
  • Create board matrix of where board would like to be.
  • Monthly 1-hour check in's with ED and/or Board Chair to discuss/coach on progress (6 months).

 

 

Succession Planning

Package includes:

  • Visioning session with Succession Planning Committee to determine goals and objectives for the year.
  • Develop a "Chart of Work" for 12 month period.
  • Facilitate quarterly succession planning committee meetings to support and guide committee on completion of Chart of Work.
  • Deliver Board training workshop to review and determine the roles and responsibilties of future Executive Director, per Succession Plan Committee.
  • Strategize and Implement "Board Mentoring" program.

Understanding Volunteers

Package includes:

  • Discovery Session to define objectives for purpose of volunteer program and gain understanding of the organizations culture around utilizing volunteers.
  • Volunteer Engagement Assessment - To be conducted with key internal and external stakeholders to gauge current perceptions of volunteer needs, gaps and readiness issues within organization. (iCAT or SED).
  • Staff Training on "Understanding Volunteers" and how they play a role in nonprofits business model. (2-3 hour training).
Preparing and Planning for Volunteers

Package includes:

  • Visioning session with designated team members to clarify volunteer program goals and objectives.
  • Develop Project Action Plan - includes tasks and next steps, required resources, responsible parties, measurement, and time frames.
  • Determine and outline volunteer position descriptions.
  • Address and identify areas for risk management.
  • Identify resources needed to manage volunteer program.
Orienting and Training Volunteers

Package includes:

  • Develop Volunteer Orientation module for face-to-face training - Powerpoint deck, facilitator guide.
  • Assess volunteer training needs based on position descriptions.
  • Design Volunteer Training module, face-to-face format, with Powerpoint deck and facilitator guide.
Supervising Volunteers

Package includes:

  • Provide 1 Day Supervisor training to all staff that will be working with volunteers. Objectives: Understanding volunteers motivations, steps and strategies for supervising.
Evaluating Volunteer Program

Package includes:

  • Visioning session with volunteer coordinator/manager to define purpose; align plan with organization; and identify resources, stakeholders, and audience. 
  • Determine evaluation type (process, goals, outcomes) and information needed (quantitative and/or qualitative).

Preparing Your PR Plan

Package includes:

  • Approximate 2 hour input session with Board members, marketing department and leadership team to determine PR needs and expectations.
  • Review of current marketing plan to see how PR services can assist in the execution.
  • Define PR objectives.
  • Develop PR strategy and pinpoint media relation outlets (i.e. newspaper, TV, radio, etc.).
  • Determine coverage measurement metrics.
PR Toolkit

Package includes:

  • Personal Media Liaison - our PR expert is constantly in the community interfacing with multiple media outlets to make sure you have the best opportunity to earn the coverage your organization needs.
  • Insider Knowledge - our PR Expert will inform you of any additional opportunities to meet your goal for greater visibility.
  • Media Tools - The PR tools needed to intrigue the media and get your story told may include press releases, media alerts, fact sheets and other documents, as well as media relations.
  • Web Content - Tools used for media outreach can be modified for use on websites, and web-specific copy can be written.
  • Collateral Pieces - our PR expert can also assist with creation of collateral materials, including copywriting and design supervision.
  • Special Event Planning - our PR expert can assist with all aspects of special events.
  • Speech Writing - our PR expert can provide copywriting services for speeches and presentations.

Package includes:

  • Purpose: online/social media, to increase SEO, brand awareness, placement in search results.  Videos can be used for sharing via social media, e-blasts, grant proposals, etc.
  • Run and gun style shoot, minimal setup, 1 camera.
  • Camera, tripod, & audio, no extra equipment.
  • Interviewees are stationary (no walking & talking).
  • All videos (in package) are shot in single location during the same time period.  Must purchase separate packages for multiple locations.
  • On premises up to 30min per video.
  • Client would fill out a multiple choice questionnaire with 3-5 questions.
  • We will call the client to confirm answers given on questionnaire and lock in shoot date & time.
