OneOC Launches Exciting New Program for the Orange County Community

EncoreOC connects nonprofits and skills-based volunteers, with the goal of creating a culture of service for a better Orange County

Santa Ana, California – OneOC is very excited to announce the launch of a new program called EncoreOC. EncoreOC will connect skilled executives and business professionals with non-profits who need their help as volunteers. To celebrate this launch, OneOC is hosting an inspirational breakfast, with an opportunity to mingle with community leaders, hear life-changing stories and learn how you can get involved to create a better Orange County.

“The EncoreOC program will help more nonprofits better accomplish their mission by enlisting the expertise of numerous highly skilled volunteers.  These contributions will generate a new and lasting impact as these nonprofits further improve the lives of so many more in our community.  Nonprofit leaders won’t want to miss out on availing their organizations of the tremendous gifts that this initiative promises to deliver across Orange County,” says Richard Ward, Encore OneOC Advisory Committee Chairman.

Participants will hear from dynamic Keynote Speaker Charles Antis, Founder and CEO of Antis Roofing. Since 2009, Antis Roofing has donated every roof for all Habitat for Humanity homes built in Orange County – almost 70 homes.

Charles serves on the OC Habitat for Humanity Board, the OC Ronald McDonald House Board, the National Roofing Contractors Association Board, the Cal State Fullerton Mahalo Leadership Board, the ACG External Advisory Board, and the OneOC External Advisory Board. Last year, Antis was given the Best Corporate Steward award for 2017 by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. You’ll love his inspirational story!

In addition to Charles Antis’ inspirational message, attendees will learn:

  • How nonprofit leaders and skills-based volunteers are coming together to make a difference
  • What is skills-based volunteering
  • How nonprofit organizations can benefit from the program
  • How executives/business professionals can volunteer

The launch event will be held April 6, 2018, from 8:30-12pm at The Delhi Center, 505 East Central Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92707. Breakfast will be served.

“Nonprofit leaders will not want to miss the launch event, so they can learn how to tap into the growing EncoreOC talent pool of baby boomers who have the time, expertise, and passion to tackle their under-resourced and/or most challenging projects,” says Dan Quaid, CEO/President OneOC.
