SANTA ANA – Volunteer Center Orange County is changing its name and rolling out a new logo after more than 50 years of mobilizing volunteers and matching them with nonprofit groups that need their help.

The organization now calls itself OneOC, a new identity meant to better reflect the other services it provides to Orange County nonprofits. It still serves as a one-stop shop for volunteers, but has also branched into training, consulting and for-fee business services.

"I was always saying, 'But we do more,'" President Daniel McQuaid said.

The organization's new logo, unveiled Tuesday night, features the new name and a promise: "Accelerating Nonprofit Success."

The volunteer center served around 40,000 people last year, and worked with more than 650 nonprofits, Chief Development Officer Barbara Powers said.

Its headquarters is at 1901 E. 4th St., Suite 100, in Santa Ana; its phone number is 714-953-5757.

Its new website, scheduled to go live Wednesday, is www.OneOC.org.
